REEDY VOICE TEACHERS

LOIS LANDRUM
"I received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Baylor University, where I studied with Carolyn Backus. I also attended
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, pursuing a Master of Music Degree and studied with Jack Coldiron. I
have been teaching for more than 30 years and have had many former students go on to colleges and universities to
major in music. Many have received generous scholarships. Several are singing professionally. At last count, I have
more than 20 former students who are now teaching music and/or singing professionally and more than 50 members
of the Texas All State Choir (many of them more than one year). My students consistently receive the highest ratings
at competitions, festivals, NATS and All-State. Each year, I have students selected to the Texas All-State Choir. I am
a frequent adjudicator for vocal solo competitions. I held
the position of Independent Teacher Liaison in Texoma NATS from 2012-2014. I was elected the President of the
Dallas Music Teachers Association, from 2014-16 and reelected for a second term from 2016-18. I am currently the
Dallas Symphonic Festival Vocal Chairman and the Scholarship Chairman for Dallas Music Teachers Association."

SAMANTHA LEE
“I received a Masters in Vocal Performance, as well as a Doctorate in Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas. I started teaching voice lessons at the Prince of Peace Catholic School in Carrollton in 2014, and then joined the voice lesson staff in Frisco ISD in 2016. I have taught lessons at Cobb, Griffin, Pioneer Heritage, Wakeland, Pearson, and now Reedy. Throughout the years I have had many students make the All-Region choirs, as well as earn superior ratings at solo and ensemble contests. I am also now an Adjunct Professor at Tarrant Community College. I look forward to working with the talented students at Reedy High School.”
